Mold Inspection & Testing
Professional Mold Inspection, Testing & Moisture Assessments
Mold growth in buildings is a moisture problem. HammerTime investigates moisture sources, performs mold inspections, and coordinates sampling and remediation services — addressing the conditions that allow mold to grow, not just the visible growth.
Mold Requires a Moisture Source
Mold growth in buildings occurs when moisture is present in sufficient quantity and duration on organic building materials. Elevated indoor humidity, water intrusion, plumbing leaks, condensation, and inadequate ventilation are common moisture sources. Addressing visible mold without identifying and correcting the moisture source typically results in recurrence. HammerTime investigates the moisture source as part of every mold assessment.
Mold Services
Mold Inspection
Visual inspection of the property for visible mold growth, moisture damage indicators, and conditions conducive to mold growth — including areas not readily visible.
Learn MoreMoisture-Source Investigation
Identifying the moisture source contributing to mold growth — roof leaks, plumbing failures, condensation, elevated humidity, or water intrusion.
Learn MoreMold Sampling & Testing
Air sampling, surface sampling, and bulk sampling to identify mold species and quantify spore concentrations when sampling is appropriate.
Learn MoreMold Remediation
Removal of mold-affected materials and cleaning of affected surfaces following established remediation protocols.
Learn MorePost-Remediation Evaluation
Assessment of remediation completeness following the work scope. Independent clearance testing by a separate party may be appropriate in some situations.
Learn MoreInspection, Sampling, Remediation & Clearance — What's Different
Mold Inspection
A visual assessment of the property for mold growth, moisture damage, and conditions conducive to growth. An inspection identifies what is visible and accessible.
Mold Sampling
Collection of air, surface, or bulk samples for laboratory analysis to identify mold species and quantify concentrations. Sampling is not always necessary and should be performed when there is a specific question the results will answer.
Mold Remediation
The physical removal of mold-affected materials and cleaning of affected surfaces. Remediation addresses the existing growth but does not prevent recurrence if the moisture source is not corrected.
Clearance Testing
Post-remediation sampling to evaluate whether the remediation was successful. Independent clearance testing — performed by a party separate from the remediator — is considered best practice in many situations.
HammerTime performs mold inspection and remediation services consistent with industry practices. ANSI/IICRC S520 provides the standard of care for professional mold remediation. We do not claim specific certifications unless verified.
